After a two year debate, a face off between The Chicago Bears and the union came to a boiling point on Workers' Comp Issues, and age played a key role in the argument.  

The Bears (who back other Chicago sports franchises), hoped to reduce a former player’s ability to tap into his workers’ compensation after a career-ending injury.

The New York Times weighs in on the Illinois Legislature's final proposal to compromise on the issue.
